Abstract
This bachelor thesis verifies the effectiveness of the half-bead technique in welding 22K and 10GN2MFA steels using the 111-MMAW method. The theoretical part summarizes the principles, history, and equipment of the 111 method, the characteristics of both materials, and an analysis of the half-bead technique for controlling thermal influence on joints. The experimental part tested six weld overlays on each material in three variants: partial overlap, grinding the first bead to half its height followed by an overlap, and a complete overlap of two beads. Evaluation was performed using metallography and HV10 hardness testing relative to the distance from the weld center. Results for 22K steel confirmed the effectiveness of the half-bead technique, while for 10GN2MFA steel, the temper bead technique proved to be the most advantageous.
