Abstract
The thesis deals with the evaluation of the usability of digitalization of public administration by the citizens of the Czech Republic. The main objective of the thesis is to evaluate the usability of digitalization of public administration and eGovernment by the citizens of the Czech Republic for the period 2015-2024. In order to fulfill the main objective, it was necessary to evaluate the digital knowledge of the citizens of the Czech Republic. Furthermore, to examine the proportion of citizens with at least basic digital knowledge and to examine their readiness to use digitalization and eGovernment services. Furthermore, the thesis deals with the preferences of the used services taking into account the age of the citizens of the Czech Republic. The last part is devoted to the summary, suggestions and recommendations for improvement of the situation. Analysis, synthesis, absolute frequency, relative frequency, time series analysis, comparative method, method of deduction and induction were used in the work. The data were drawn from the freely available website of the Czech Statistical Office. The basic digital knowledge of the citizens of the Czech Republic is at a relatively high level, above the EU average. Citizens are ready to use eGovernment services. Positive developments are taking place and the greatest progress is being made by the older citizens of the Czech Republic. The use of digitalisation of public administration and eGovernment services in the Czech Republic is possible even with minimal digital knowledge. Recently, communication via data boxes has developed very well.
