Abstract

This thesis deals with the power supply management and the recharging control of a mobile robot dedicated for Robot soccer application and for Embedded control system learning. The selection of a suitable accumulator is solved to supply this mobile robot with power as well as the general design of the control system for managing the power supply and the actual recharging of the selected accumulator. In addition, an appropriate energy transmission system for accumulator charging is chosen. Advantages and disadvantages of the contact and non-contact transmission of electrical energy are assessed as well as the various alternatives of the non-contact transmission of energy.
