Abstract
The thesis focuses on testing multiaxial criteria in the field of high-cycle fatigue of materials. In the introductory part of the thesis, the theoretical foundations of fatigue and multiaxial loading of materials are presented. Then, selected criteria for the assessment of high-cycle fatigue are described and verified on test specimens made of 11 523 structural steel. In the practical part, the ability of each criterion to predict material behaviour under realistic conditions is addressed. The aim of this work is to propose a correction for the coefficients of the selected multiaxial methods and to investigate the effect of this correction on the prediction capability of the methods. The experimental results are then compared and evaluated.
