Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the design of a workshop crane intended for handling loads with a maximum weight of 2200 kg. The crane has a working range of 1000 to 1600 mm, which is enabled by a manually extendable boom offering four different positions. At the minimum boom extension, the load capacity is 2200 kg; with each further extension, the capacity changes to 1500 kg, 1000 kg, and 500 kg. The maximum lifting height is 2300 mm with the boom fully extended, and 1900 mm at the minimum extension. The lifting mechanism is powered by a hydraulic cylinder. The main structure of the crane is welded. The mobility of the crane is ensured by castor wheels. The crane is intended for all types of handling tasks in the workshop. The introduction of the thesis includes a brief research and market survey of workshop cranes. This is followed by the design section with a specific technical solution. The design was carried out based on strength and design calculations. The thesis also includes a set of technical drawings.
