Abstract
This bachelor thesis focuses on the design of a motorcycle engine mounting system integrated into a kart chassis. The objective of the thesis is to analyze the problematics of mounting a motorcycle power unit into the frame of a KZ-class racing kart and, based on the performed analysis, to develop an appropriate structural solution for the engine mounting arrangement. The theoretical part provides an introduction to karting motorsport and discusses the general principles and issues associated with powertrain mounting systems in vehicles. The practical part is devoted to the design of the engine mounting structure, followed by a structural strength analysis performed in Autodesk Inventor Professional 2025 and the preparation of the corresponding technical documentation. The outcome of the thesis is a design proposal for an engine mounting system which, after manufacturing and integration into the kart chassis, will enable the vehicle to serve as an educational and training tool for teaching technical subjects related to motorsport engineering and vehicle design.
