Abstract

This bachelor thesis is concerned with the terms biomass, agrofuel and their energy usage. It further familiarizes the processes of combustion, pyrolysis, gasification and gasification focused on biofuels. The main part of this thesis is the determination of characteristic melting temperatures of straw ash. Furthermore, this thesis discusses the terms cogeneration (combined heat and power) and cogeneration unit (CHP unit). The conclusion is devoted to an economic and material evaluation.
