Abstract

The thesis deals with the design of layout and optimization of the production process for the manufacturing engineering company Torun Czech s.r.o. The aim of the thesis is to propose several options for layout design and optimization of the production process. Furthermore, individual constrains resulting from the analysis of the company are described and their solutions are proposed. Then, in the conclusion, an overall summary of the benefits for the company is presented with the given information and comparison. The theoretical part results from the methods used and includes background information from the literature on multi-criteria decision making methods, layout design and production block scheduling, together with methods for optimising production processes.
