Abstract

The bachelor's thesis deals with the design of luggage racks for train cars. In the introduction, a theoretical part is developed, which deals with the construction of luggage racks, types of luggage shelves and current structures from various companies. There are also UIC 566 and UIC 562 decrees, according to which I followed the design. For the designed construction, there is a sliding hook, types of rear and front profiles, other support brackets and shelf fillings. In the computational part, the analysis is performed using the finite element method, where the maximum stresses and strains are given. I continued to verify the luggage racks using analytical calculations.
