Objective of this thesis is to explore today possibilities of measuring knee joint range and to design alternative solution which would be more precise with good repeatability of measuring and also meet requirements for simplicity and low price. At the beginning of thesis is explained necessary terminology and described current means of measuring knee joint range. In next part design of measuring instrument is presented to be strength checked with support of software ANSYS Workbench 14.0 in another part. Thesis is finished with evaluation of measuring instrument and foreshadowing of future development in the field.
