Abstract

The thesis focuses on AlSi alloy degassing. The character of the alloy and system of melting is described here. Subsequently the current degassing principle by means of rotor equipment is described. This technology is compared with an alternative in the form of degassing salts weighed down by a degassing bell on the ladle bottom. This alternative if followed by a proposal of experiment with process description and its implementation in practice. Based on the values achieved during the experiment, results are compared and conclusions are made for the given foundry operation.
