Abstract
This Bachelor's Thesis deals with the impact of SNCR technology on boiler efficiency. The Introduction describes in particular the issue of older
coal-fired power plants which are struggling with lower efficiency and higher
NOx emissions than up-to-date plants due to obsolete design of steam boilers.
Their further operation after 2016 is conditioned by meeting the NOx limits
set by current legal regulations. The Bachelor's Thesis specifies the steam
boiler efficiency from measured values without SNCR technology but also with it. The Conclusion assesses the importance of losses and benefits of the
technology used.
