Abstract

Proposed dissertation thesis deals with ratcheting prediction in the field of contact fatigue for the case of line contact. For the stated purposes, the wear model proposed by A. Mazzu is used. Mazzu´s model is based on Chaboche plasticity model with combined hardening rule and afterwards implemented into shear band cracking wear mechanism. In the first stage, the entire algorithm has been written in APDL program language (Ansys Parametric Design Language). However afterwards, it was due to the higher efficiency and the possibility of its extension rewritten into C # program language, where takes full advantage of object-oriented programming. The second part of the thesis deals with the newly proposed methodology for identification of material constants by inverse algorithm. The given approach is then verified on a specific, previously realized, experiment on the author's workplace. At the end of the thesis, the author devotes to two applications of Mazzu´s algorithm, concretely its extension for simulation of cases with variable maximum contact pressure and the influence of residual stress on the wear rate.
