Abstract

The aim of the thesis is to analyze the current state od the range of tools for enomomic milling of planar surfaces and tools with an angle of κ_(r=) 45°. The first part of the Master thesis describes the process of VBD production, their possible wear and surface treatment. The following are the characteristics of machined materials and their mechanical and chemical properties, as well as a chapter on face milling technology. The main part of the Master thesis is focused on experimental comparative functional and durability tests of replaceable inserts from the company Dormer Pramet s.r.o with two other competitors. The final part of the work is devoted to the technical and economic evaluation of the results obtained in the machined tests.
