Abstract
Master thesis deals with the study of laser cutting, its principle and effect of technological parameters of laser machining to the overall cut topography. In the first part,described the principle, classification and application of the present laser. Further development of the laser and a description of the conditions that affect it, including defects that may occur after laser cutting. They are listed the possibility of measuring the topography of the surface and a description of roughness parameters that were controlled by the measured items. The experimental part includes a description of the sample preparation and analysis of their surface and the final evaluation, which indicates that the technological parameters of the laser beam should be on the resulting surface topography greatest effect.
