Abstract
Master thesis is dealing with functional safety of car’s brake system with ABS. The purpose of this master thesis is analysis of functional safety. Thesis begins with
a technical description of brake system and its individual components. Theory of functional safety is explained according to norm CSN EN 615 08 and ISO/DIS 262 62. risk analysis, fault tree analysis, failure mode and effects analysis, where precautions for reducing the risk were proposed, asignment of safety integrity level to safety functions and finally their verification were done.
