Abstract

This bachelor´s thesis deals with issues of dangerous cargo air transport. An essential part of this thesis is basic terminology connected with the topic. It also contains a brief characterization of international and national organizations that are integral to the whole process of air cargo transport; further, this thesis classifies dangerous goods according to a DGR manual by IATA organization. There are general transport conditions specified, including dangerous cargo packing, identification in labelling and required documentation. At the end of this thesis there is a transport analysis of a chosen category within dangerous cargo realized by DHL Express and TNT Express. The most advantageous transport option has been chosen after comparing several viewpoints.
