Abstract

This bachelor thesis addresses the issue of decarbonisation of air transport and its considerable issues. Aviation, because of its regularity and speed, plays an important role in today's global transportation. However, its impact on the environment, whether in terms of carbon emissions, particulate matter emissions along with noise and other emission components generated in the airport environment, is not negligible compared to other world transport. The aim of this paper is to gather information regarding the carbon footprint of aviation and its impact on the environment and to propose several possible solutions to this issue.
