Abstract

This diploma thesis focuses on the structural design and calculation of a supporting frame for a melting furnace. It includes a brief description of aluminum melting, aluminum scrap, briquetted aluminum scrap, and aluminum melting furnaces. An analysis of the original frame, a schematic layout of the furnace, calculations for determining loading forces, and a strength analysis are performed. Furthermore, the structural design of a reinforced frame and a triangular frame is developed, supported by FEA analysis in Autodesk Inventor Professional software.
