Abstract

The subject of this thesis is the topic of housing associations and, in particular, the issue of funding their investments. Chapter 1 deals with the legislation regarding housing associations. The following part takes a closer look at a particular housing association. Model examples are the most important part of this thesis. The examples have simulated a particular business entity, aiming to find out whether said entity will be liquid enough to pay the monthly installment payments on the loan. Next, two loan programs with different banks were compared. Potential heat savings made in the event that restoration took place were found, as was the monetary amount that could be obtained from grants. The conclusion of the thesis consists of proposals and recommendations that could improve the whole funding process.
