Abstract
The Master thesis, deals with the comparison of peripheral grinded VBD, with a new prototype of direct pressed VBD, which are intended for face milling. The theoretical part of the master thesis describes the difference in the actual production of grounded and pressed VBDs. Furthermore, the analysis of the tested tools with competitive tools and a theoretical explanation of the measurement of surface roughness and the measurement of cutting forces during milling. The experimental part of the master thesis, deals with the comparison of tested VBDs using by three tests that were make on material groups ISO P and M. A functional machining test focused on measuring the roughness parameters after face milling Ra, Rz and machine load. Durability test, during which the achieved time of the tools in engagement is monitored. Measurement of FX, FY and FZ cutting forces using a dynamometer.
