Abstract
This thesis deals with consumer contracts concluded via Internet. The aims of the thesis is to explain a meaning of electronic business, research risks of shopping on the Internet, describe specifics of electronic consumers’ contracts and compare it with common shopping, analyze some conditions of e-shops. The main idea of this thesis is to answer the question, how consumer contracts concluded via Internet differ from the other consumer contracts.
There are the basic terms and legislation of consumer contracts described, practical examples of e-shops in the Czech Republic are presented as well as advantages and disadvantages of shopping via Internet, and threats and suggestions for consumers how to defend themselves against them. Further, electronic auctions being interesting as for purchasing price determination are issued.
At the end of this thesis, selected conditions of e-shops are analyzed such as applying the claims resulting from the contracts, claims and proposals for some conflicts solution being often discussed in consumers´ advisory centers on the Internet.
