Jiří Fries, Ph.D. Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of installing a non-opening side window onto a passenger train. It compares advantages and disadvantages of multiple installation methods and then selects one that fits necessary criteria. It assesses requirements of modern design such as sealing from noise and heat leaks. A design solution was developed for the selected installation method. The devised construction is tested for sufficient strength.
