Abstract

Bachelor thesis examines the influence of cutting edges rounding size for durability inserts. Theme submitter of this work is the company Pramet Tools Ltd., which in the future will introduce to the market inserts made of a new material specially designed for stainless steel. In the introduction is described the theory of tool wear and its accompanying phenomena, the formation issue of splinter and other factors relates the durability of the metalworking. In the laboratory of Pramet Tools Ltd. was performed a practical wear inserts in three sizes rounding. From the test results will be based recommendation of suitable size rounding with regard to the final durability. The resulting recommendations will be applied in the factory Pramet Tools Ltd.
