Abstract

The thesis analyzes the process of selecting employees in the company Slévárny Třinec, a. s. Although today is high uneployment, the company feels the lack of applicants with required skills for job vacancies. Therefore, the company Slévárny reacts flexibly to the losses of workers by purchasing employees through employment agencies.This company also faces the problem of high staff turnover. The introductory part of the thesis examines the process of recruitment and selection of workers, as described in the literature. The second part of this thesis reflects the particular problems that the company Slévárny has to deal with. It describes the problem of selection of tribal and agency staff and the reasons for high turnover. Attention is also focused on proposals to optimize the situation.
