Abstract
The diploma thesis describes the design, creation and implementation of a control system for an infeed crane for pit furnaces. The thesis describes the basic parameters and characteristics of the crane, the material to be transported and the safety risks for both the operator and the crane itself, as well as describing its individual components and programme implementation. The work includes the issues of controlling the inverters, reading and processing data from encoders, processing analogue measurements and working with the Profinet network. Furthermore, the thesis includes a section dedicated to the visualisation of events related to the crane using the HMI panel, and the last part is the commissioning of the crane and the evaluation of the deficiencies found during the test.
