Abstract
The Master thesis deals with problems High-feed milling of aluminium and titanium alloys. The theoretical part concerns high-feed milling, properties of aluminium and titanium alloys, milling tools, progressive practical applications of this technology and there is compiled research to similar experiments. The experimental part is focused on comparing methods down-milling with up-milling titanium alloy UNS R56260, from the point of view of surface roughness and size of cutting forces during the machining process. In the final part the measured values of surface roughness Ra and Rz and cutting force components Fx, Fy and Fz are presented. Efficiency of machining depends on right choice of cutting conditions.
