Abstract

The master thesis deals with design and strength calculations of a shoe press. The principle of shoe press is describe in introduction. Definition of used materials is described in the section material characteristics. In the section of material definition is described used materials. Construction design of the central beam with maximum weight condition are situated in the next part of thesis. The strength calculation with analytic analyses is compared with results from the FEM analyses. The next section of thesis deals about modal analysis of the central beam. In the last section of the thesis are discussed the issue of submodeling with evaluation of stress concentration on chosen details of a central beam and counter roll.
