Abstract

This thesis deals with the structural design of a device to determine the friction coefficient between cable and the friction wheel. The introductory part is devoted to analysis and design of possible options for a passenger lift with a capacity of 1900 kg (including the cab) and a lifting speed of 1.25 [m•s-1]. The following chapter presents traction calculations to determine the forces in the cables on the basis of which the traction element is selected for a specified lifting capacity. Furthermore, strength calculations for selected components of the measuring device are performed and its individual components are chosen. In the final chapter, the welded structure of the measuring device is subjected to a strength test using the finite element method.
