This thesis deals with the structural design of a gearbox for a City car. The introduction drawn rolling resistance acting on the vehicle while driving. After the determination of the number of teeth of gears, their basic dimensions and design strength calculation of gearing. It is also designed custom design gear and make basic calculations selected shafts and bearing life.
