Abstract

This thesis focuses on the analysis of the welding process using numerical simulation in the Simufact Welding software and its comparison with experimental welding. The introductory part provides a description of the selected welding technology and the base material. A model of a test weld joint is then designed, on which two variants of numerical simulation are performed in order to compare the results using different input parameters. In the following section, selected mechanical and structural properties of the weld joint are evaluated. Finally, the results obtained from the numerical simulations and experimental measurements are compared and discussed.
