Přepracování a úprava radioaktivních odpadů

Abstract

The thesis deals with issues related to radioactive waste. The introduction presents summary of information about the origin of radioactive waste and its categorization. The following chapters are devoted to description of reprocessing technologies, treatment, solidification and final disposal of primarily solid and liquid radioactive waste. The last chapter of the theoretical part describes the strategy of radioactive waste treatment in the Czech Republic. The practical part deals with the measurement and assessment of the natural radionuclides quantity in building materials and waste. The analysis of statutory legislation, measurement methodology and general procedure for calculation of required parameters is included in the introduction. Furthermore, the procedures, applied in the case of exceeding natural radionuclides limits, are briefly described. These outputs are finally applied to the model example.
