Abstract

This bachelor’s thesis analyses the loss of stability of enclosed tanks of different configurations, using analytical and finite element methods, and compares the results of both approaches. The introduction briefly describes the topic at hand and how it will be discussed in this work. The research section explores the stability of tanks, issues encountered and used norms. Following is the description of used models and analytical solutions, which are compared in the end.
