Abstract

The dissertation thesis deals with constructions on elastic foundation focused on circular plates stored on elastic foundation. The main goal is to solve the demonstrated task, consisting of a circular plate loaded uniformly around the circumference by a specific moment and specific force, with following approaches: analytical solution, experimental measurements and numerical solution using the finite element method and Ansys software. For the purpose of experimental measurement, the author has designed and developed test device for loading of circular plates and measuring apparatus for sensing the deflection in two important points: in the center and on the edge of the plate. All solutions have been made for four levels of specific moment that have been established during the experimental measurements. For maximum possible match, there have been developed two computational models using the finite element method. The first computational model maximally corresponds to the analytical solution and the second one to the experimental observations. Obtained data set has been afterwards evaluated and compared. It has been stated, that all solutions have reached agreement, and thus it has been demonstrated, that the test device has fulfilled its desired function. It has also been examined foundation subsidence (time-dependent change in the stiffness of the foundation). The author is working on the submission of a patent application. The dissertation is also focused on beams and shell structures.
