Abstract

This thesis deals with the investigation of the nonlinear bending of the mine steel support to loss of stability due to plastic deformation of the shape and profile changes. At the beginning of the work is described usage of the mine steel support and characterized by the linear theory of the straight bar stability loss. In the next section is described bending characteristics and substitutive bending stiffness for fixed beam, subjected to pure bending, combined bending with axial compressive force and bending combined with torque. Another part deals with 3D "finite element" modeling in software Ansys Workbench. The solutions from these employ acquired skills are presented in the last part, which deals with their mutual comparison.
