Abstract

The aim of my work, which deals with trade negotiations and national conventions, was to assess the extent to which this theory is consistent with the practice, and how it is influenced by different cultures. Another objective was to get some key guidance on the proper procedures when dealing with business partners from the countries listed above. In the practical part, I focused on practices at a business meeting in the Republic of Austria and Germany. I was wondering what particular negotiating tactics business partners from different countries use. Whether, and if at all different because of different cultures and customs.
