This bachelor’s thesis examines non-lethal ammunition for small arms, particularly those with a kinetic effect. The thesis begins with a general classification, which is later analysed in greater detail. Furthermore, the thesis includes a review of the criteria by which small arms ammunition can be compared. Additionally, this thesis includes a comparison of selected types of kinetic ammunition, that is carried out based on the chosen criteria. The final chapter is devoted to incidents and excesses that have occurred in the past in connection with the use of non-lethal ammunition in small arms.
