Abstract

The bachelor thesis deals with a machinery layout design in a new production hall. It was worked out in the engineering company ZAPE Ltd. The objective of this project is to design a suitable layout of machines and to optimize a production process in terms of time savings in material handling. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part explains all the issues regarding the discussed topic. The practical one includes the information about the ZAPE Ltd. company and focuses on the analysis of the current state and the use of different methods by which the new design of machinery layout was achieved in a new production hall which is being built.
