Abstract

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the access and effectiveness of selected ongoing UN humanitarian mission in Southern Sudan, Liberia and Hati, based on analysis of available indicators - GDP growth, life expectancy, the proportion of the population with better access to sources of drinking water. The thesis is divided into five chapters, of which the first chapter is an introduction. The second chapter is devoted to the meaning and mission of the United Nations. Further, the third chapter deals with selected aspects of the intervention and humanitarian missions and peacekeeping missions. Are closer to the selected institutions operating in humanitarian affairs. The fourth chapter evaluates selected UN humanitarian mission is focused on the mission in southern Sudan, Liberia and Haiti. Last, the final chapter assesses the overall thesis.
