Humanitární mise OSN

Abstract

Cílem této diplomové práce je zhodnocení úspěšnosti a efektivity vybraných humanitárních misí OSN probíhajících v Jižním Súdánu, Libérii a v Hati, a to na základě analýzy dostupných ukazatelů – meziroční růst HDP, očekávaná délka života, podíl obyvatel s lepším přístupem ke zdrojům pitné vody.

Diplomová práce se člení do pěti kapitol, z čehož první kapitolu tvoří úvod. Druhá kapitola je věnována významu a poslání Organizace spojených národů. Další, třetí kapitola pojednává o vybraných aspektech humanitárních misí a intervencí a mírových misí. Přiblíženy jsou i vybrané instituce, jež působí v humanitárních záležitostech. Čtvrtá kapitola zhodnocuje vybrané humanitární mise OSN, je zaměřena na mise v Jižním Súdánu, Libérii a Haiti. Poslední, závěrečná kapitola celkově hodnotí diplomovou práci.

The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the access and effectiveness of selected ongoing UN humanitarian mission in Southern Sudan, Liberia and Hati, based on analysis of available indicators - GDP growth, life expectancy, the proportion of the population with better access to sources of drinking water.

The thesis is divided into five chapters, of which the first chapter is an introduction. The second chapter is devoted to the meaning and mission of the United Nations. Further, the third chapter deals with selected aspects of the intervention and humanitarian missions and peacekeeping missions. Are closer to the selected institutions operating in humanitarian affairs. The fourth chapter evaluates selected UN humanitarian mission is focused on the mission in southern Sudan, Liberia and Haiti. Last, the final chapter assesses the overall thesis.
