Využití prognostických metod v oblasti pracovních podmínek

Abstract

This bachelor thesis focuses on the application of forecasting methods in the field of working conditions, with particular attention to the possible introduction of a four-day working week in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to predict the future development of this model of work organization and to identify the main barriers to its wider implementation in the Czech environment. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts of forecasting and describes the Delphi method, PEST analysis and the principles of questionnaire research. The practical part first evaluates the external environment through PEST analysis and then applies a two-round expert survey based on the Delphi method, supplemented by an in-depth interview. The results indicate that the nationwide implementation of a four-day working week in the Czech Republic is not very likely in the near future. A more realistic approach appears to be gradual implementation through voluntary company pilot projects, particularly in sectors with a higher degree of digitalization, flexibility and performance orientation. The main barriers include different conditions across sectors, employers’ concerns about productivity, legislative uncertainty and the organizational complexity of the change.
