Abstract

The goal of this thesis is to define as precisely as possible the issues concerning health and safety at work and labor-employer liability. Theoretical section contains a description of the general issue of liability and its distribution to damage and non-material damage, are also portrayed liability for damages according to the Labor Code, its types and OSHA system. The main topic is the employer's responsibility for accidents at work and occupational diseases, which will define the scope of this responsibility, the conditions of the waiver, and ways to measure damages. In the practical part there are the findings from a theoretical section on the company OKD, a.s. According to the company's internal guidelines are explored principles for occupational safety and health protection. The chapter concludes with an analysis and creation of occupational injuries and illnesses in terms of time and space.
