Abstract

The topic of this thesis is the increase of productivity of 5-axis machining centers caused by general purpose jigs for component clamping. The introduction addresses the fitting of standardized component parts for clamping in the jig, provided by the production programme of SOMA spol. s r.o. The clamping jig was designed by standardized components and machining center parameters. This thesis discusses the technological method of component construction. The clamping jig was constructed and tested. Testing found an increase of productivity in the construction of standardized components and a reduction in manufacturing time. Owing to the clamping jig, partially-automated operation of the machining centre is possible. The final part of the thesis includes a technical and economical evaluation of the clamping jig.
