Jiří Podešva, Ph.D. This diploma thesis contains solution of strength calculation of wedge thimble carrying weight in mine vertical transportation. It`s resolving problem of checkup if the rope is slipping out from the wedge thimble and task of friction contacts, it`s using in numerical methods same as using wires.
