Vícekriteriální výběr rizikového životního pojištění z pohledu klienta

Abstract

The bachelor thesis focuses on the selection of term life insurance from the client’s perspective using multi-criteria decision-making methods. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the decision-making process when choosing an appropriate insurance product and to assess the applicability of selected multi-criteria methods in evaluating individual insurance alternatives. In the thesis, the scoring method and the AHP method are applied to determine the values of criteria, while the scoring method and Saaty’s pairwise comparison method are used to determine the weights of criteria. The weighted arithmetic mean method is used to determine the overall evaluation. Based on the analysis of two model client situations, it was confirmed that the selection of term life insurance is significantly influenced by the client’s individual preferences and life situation. The results show that not only the level of premium is important, but also the scope of insurance coverage, contract flexibility, exclusions and limitations, and the reputation of the insurance company. It was found that different preferences lead to different evaluation results of the alternatives. It can be concluded that the applied methods represent a suitable tool for systematic and rational decision-making in the selection of life insurance.
