Výpočetní a experimentální studie tepelného chování akumulační nádoby

Abstract

The master’s thesis was focused on the computational and experimental assessment of the thermal behavior of water heat storage tanks. The theoretical part included a literature review of thermal energy storage, thermal stratification, and heat losses in storage tanks. The basic principles of heat storage, structural design of water storage tanks, and factors affecting their operational efficiency were described. The practical part included experimental measurement of the temperature field in storage tanks under different operating conditions. The development of thermal stratification, the propagation of the thermocline, and the behavior of the tanks during charging, discharging, series connection, and parallel connection were evaluated. The thesis also included an assessment of heat losses and the development of a practical calculator for determining the volume of a storage tank and its heat storage capacity.
