The thesis deals with the verification of the technology and the weldability of materials for cryogenic temperatures. The study of used materials for cryogenic application and the analysis of suitable welding technologies with focusing on aluminum alloys is carried out in this work. The model joint for qualification of welding procedure of heat-treatable aluminum alloy is designed and realized in the experimental part of the thesis. For finding of aluminum alloy behavior at low temperatures were carried out some tests beyond requirements of respective standards. The results are compared with literature source-book and prove aluminum and its alloys are suitable material for cryogenic aplication but its weldability is associated with specific problems.
