Abstract

The diploma thesis deals with the possible causes of the crack of the steel wire, which occurs during the production process, when the wire is screwed into the helix. The main manufacturing process is the wire drawing of the wire by a steel die. As the wire passes through the steel die, the dislocation is thickened and the steel wire is reinforced. The final product of a steel wire is a bowden, which is used as a sorting system in a car. The experimental part specifically focuses on detecting the causes of crack of the steel wires. Wires have passed the same technology of production, with one type of wire cracked and the other not. Destructive and non-destructive testing methods have been used.
