The bachelor thesis deals with the design of the mechanical drive of the axial pulley of the rotary kiln. The first part of the thesis deals with the axial pulley and its function, as well as the design of the pulley depending on the possibilities of its movement. It evaluates the advantages and disadvantages of using a hydraulic drive. Subsequently, the materials and methods of lubrication of individual parts of the axial pulley are described. A number of mechanical concepts are then presented for its drive solution. The last part of this paper chooses a helical linear actuator for the mechanical drive, which is illustrated by calculations in the design of the overall solution.
