Abstract

My bachelor thesis deals with the design of a pneumatic mechanism for pin cutting. The introduction summarizes pneumatic mechanisms and their advantages and disadvantages in general. The following chapters focus on the theory of cutting and on the designs of suitable types of the cutter, including necessary construction calculations. Two parallel grippers and their basic construction and working parameters are then introduced as well. Consequently, one of the grippers is selected and used in the designed pneumatic circuit, which is drawn in the design sketch. The appendix consists of a disposition drawing with a complete design of the cutting part. The final parts of the thesis describe the selected solution technically and also give safety instructions for its use and maintenance.
